Urban Water Management Plan

The City is required to prepare an Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) as per requirements by the California Department of Water Resources. The UWMP elements comply with the requirements of California Water Code (Section 10610-10656). Urban water suppliers in California serving more than 3,000 customers or providing more than 3,000 acre-feet of water annually must prepare an UWMP to promote water demand management and efficient water use. This UWMP also provides planning information on the reliability and future availability of the City’s water supply.

The City will provide the public with a 30-day review of the Draft UWMP (June 30, 2017 to July 31, 2017). A copy of the Draft UWMP will be available at the City Hall, City Clerk’s Office, 970 Ventura Street, Santa Paula, California. City Hall Office Hours, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. City offices are closed every other Friday. A copy of the Draft UWMP will be available at the City Library, 119 North 8th Street, Santa Paula, California. Please submit all comments in writing by July 31, 2017 to John Ilasin, Interim Public Works Director, P.O. Box 569, Santa Paula, California, 93060, or jilasin@spcity.org.

The City anticipates adoption of the UWMP at a Council Meeting (public hearing) at City Hall, Monday, September 18, 2017, 6:30 p.m.

For additional questions regarding the UWMP, please contact Caesar Hernandez, Regulatory Compliance Specialist, 805-933-4212, X306, or chernandez@spcity.org.
