Planning Department Guidelines and Forms
The Planning Department is responsible for current and future land use design and environmental planning for the City. The Department manages the development of the General
Plan and assists the public with zoning and General Plan regulations for residential, commercial and industrial development including processing applications for annexation,
subdivision, planned development and conditional use permits.
Building & Safety Department Guidelines and Forms
The Building and Safety Department ensures that all laws pertaining to the construction or alteration of buildings and structures are enforced to ensure the health and safety
of the community. It conducts inspections and issues all appropriate permits for building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical work, and various other permits. The Department
is also responsible for the administration of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. The CDBG program provides services to low-income communities and families,
including the Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program.
Fire Department Guideline and Forms
The Santa Paula Fire Department handles permits pertaining to various fire safety regulations, including sprinkler systems.
