Mayor Martin F. Hernandez

Council Term Expires: November, 2016

Councilmember Martin F. Hernandez was elected in 2012 and is serving his first term on the City Council. Hernandez is a United States Air Force Veteran, and has been involved in public service his entire career. He is a lifelong resident of Ventura County and an 18 year resident of Santa Paula. Currently, Hernandez serves as Chief of Staff to Ventura County Supervisor Kathy Long. He looks forward to serving all the residents of Santa Paula during his tenure as your City Councilman.

 

 

 

 

 


Vice Mayor

Jenny Crosswhite

Council Term Expires: November, 2018

Councilmember Jenny Crosswhite was elected in 2012 and is serving her first term on the City Council. Crosswhite serves as pastor of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Santa Paula and has 18 years of graphic design experience. Crosswhite is fluent in English and Spanish and looks forward to continuing to serve Santa Paula during her tenure on the city council.

Council Term Expires: November, 2016
Councilmember Jim Tovias was elected in 2008 and is serving his first term on the City Council. Tovias is an agent with State Farm Insurance. Tovias represents Santa Paula on the Economic Development Collaborative - Ventura County.
 

Councilmember

John Procter

Council Term Expires: November, 2018
Councilmember John Procter was elected in 2014 and is serving his third term on the City Council after a six year absence. Born and raised in Santa Paula, John graduated Santa Paula High School Class of 1970 and Stanford University Class of 1974 (B.A. Communications). John previously served on the Santa Paula City Council from 2000-2008 and has been on several boards throughout the County including the Ventura County Transportation Commission, Ventura Council of Governments, Economic Development Collaborative of Ventura County and the Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance to name a few. John has been active in the American Cancer Society and has been on the steering committee for Santa Paula Relay For Life since its inception, as well as serving as the Chair of the ACS Silicon Coastal Region which extends from Ventura County to the Bay Area. In his spare time, John Enjoys playing music and regularly performs with his band for Santa Paula’s “Cruise Night”. John looks forward to representing the residents of Santa Paula once again.

 

Councilmember Ginger Gherardi

Council Term Expires: November, 2018

Councilmember Ginger Gherardi was elected in 2014 and is serving her first term on the City Council. Gherardi retired as the Executive Director of Ventura County Transportation Commission and was instrumental in the creation of the Santa Paula Bicycle Path, Santa Paula Branch Railroad Line, the Restoration/ conversion of the Mill to the Agriculture Museum, VISTA Bus System, and Metrolink, as well as millions of dollars for highway and transit projects throughout the County. Ginger is an active member of Santa Paula Rotary; helped create the Santa Paula Art Museum; co-chairs the Santa Paula Fourth of July fireworks; and, served on the County Fair Board for 10 years. Gherardi also helped spearhead the Santa Paula Schools Unification. Good communication is important to Ginger and she welcomes hearing from you.
